Cotton mulmul with paisley

Paisley pattern got into Europe with Kashimiri shawls from India. These colorful silk and woolen shawls were exotic and beautiful presents that british officers and merchants brought back home from their Eastern adventures. But the name of the pattern was derived from the town in Scotland, where local factory started to reproduce these patterns on fleece and georgette. It became popular again during the hippie 60-ies. In Weathered collection we use paisley as a tribute to its long history of uniting East and West, giving that little oriental twist to modern textiles.
